At the start of every New Year, it’s tradition for FTS to list their movie-related resolutions on the FTS Podcast. Everyone takes turns talking about movie watching habits they’d like to adopt or what film lists they want to cover. But just like going to the gym or learning a new language, the resolutions that appear so shiny and bright in January seem to flat line quickly after the month is over. In an effort to make a serious attempt to tackle this year’s resolutions, I am vowing to keep an updated record of my progress of my main goal of three movies a week by writing a post here on the blog.

Fellow film blogger Shane Slater from Film Actually is hosting a contest in honor of the upcoming Oscars. While the real nominations will be announced tomorrow, the contest asks you to make your predictions beforehand. Two years ago Lindsay won the contest and last year scored 74 while Jessica scored 78 (winning score was 84). Let’s see how we do this year.

I was recently contacted to write a review for a relatively new game called Cinelinx. The basic gist is described right in the tagline: The Card Game For People Who Love Movies. I was first introduced to the game when word of their Kickstarter campaign spread around the film community and then later reminded of the fun when fellow FTSer Nick pulled the gang together to play. I love games, cards and movies so I feel like I fall right into this game’s target audience. Did the game deliver the goods?
