Attention fellow Lambs! The annual Lammy awards are in full swing (if you couldn’t tell by now) and it’s time to cast nominations. French Toast Sunday was made eligible for a few awards during the submissions process so I figured I would throw up our FYC banners. Good luck to all and happy voting!

Today is a very special day at FTS because it marks our three year anniversary! With this milestone I thought it would be a good opportunity to say thanks and reflect back on the past few years. So in true French Toast Sunday style, I put together a top 3 list with my top 3 reasons I still love movie blogging.

Ah, memories. For those of you reading this that aren’t familiar with the event, every year FTS hosts a large scale Scavenger Hunt in Baltimore, MD. It lasts all day, the list consists of over 400 items and actions, and it is a total blast. It’s a really stressful event to put on but I couldn’t be more passionate about it. Every year I think “this is the last one. I can’t do all of this again.” But someone playing reminds me how much fun it was for them and what a unique experience it truly is. With luck, we will be putting on another hunt later this year. I’ve been looking back over lists and photos from the past three years and came up with a list of tweets from participating teams that were too good not to share.

Your podcasting BFFs Nick and Lindsay head over to the As You Watch Podcast for the first time to discuss the best movies of 2012 in episode #18. Check it out to see what films made our lists.
