Movie Drinking games are tailored to a specific movie and generally consist of taking a drink or shot every time something is said or shown on screen. Here at French Toast Sunday, we want to give you guys a little something extra for your movie experience. Enjoy and movie-drink responsibly!

Happy International Star Wars Day!! The day is here for us to celebrate the magic and excitement of Star Wars! For the last five weeks, we’ve been releasing fun drinking games and delicious beer recommendations for those games, but, alas, our time has come to a close. But don’t cry, our love for Star Wars and these drinking games will carry on a long, long time from now to galaxies far, far away. But to be honest, I highly doubt society will advance to the point where intergalactic travel is commonplace. We haven’t even discovered all surfaces of the earth yet, so what makes the human race remotely capable of exploring space to such detailed lengths? Granted, this could be thousands of years from now, but even then, will Star Wars be around remembered? If it is, bet it’ll be remade 2 or 3 times in that time frame by people with different visions and ambitions for their remakes. Maybe they pull a Gus Van Sant and do shot-for-shot remakes of the films. OR the entire thing is done like a found footage film… I’m rambling with no real depth or course of purpose so I will say this: Happy International Star Wars Day and as a contribution to the celebration, here is The Star Wars Episode Six: Return of the Jedi FTS Drinking Game. May the Force be with you… Always.

We are officially a week from Star Wars Day! And what better way to celebrate that feat than with my favorite, and the favorite of many Star Wars fans, The Empire Strikes Back. Personally, this film is my favorite because it’s not a happy ending. The Rebellion is left searching for a base, one of our heroes is frozen in carbonite stasis and the other could really use a helping hand. But, it’s one of the more important films in the saga because it begins to define its characters, develop their relationships, and introduces us to Yoda. Let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a half-crazy whatever-he-is Jedi master who’s first name could have been Minch (Your Star Wars Fun Fact of the Day). Aside from developing characters and introducing new ones, Empire took us to new systems and planets like Hoth, Bespin, and Degobah. There are way too many reasons why I love this film, but to add another, we here at FTS Drinking Laboratories, have created a fantastical drinking game that will be enjoyed by many in galaxies far far away. So without further ado, I present the Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back FTS Drinking Game! May the force be with you… and NEVER tell me the odds.

Now comes the fun part! It’s time to revisit the original trilogy and have a bit of fun with the Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope FTS Drinking Game! Now I will say, from this point forward, I’m using the Star Wars Saga Blu-Rays as film reference. These films will have many changes from their original theatrical release and their 1997 re-release and their 2004 DVD release and so on and so forth. Some of the game rules will be based on these changes so if you’re watching the original trilogy on VHS, you’ll be drinking less than those who are watching the DVD/Blu-Rays. Lucky you? Either way, ready yourself for a trip down memory lane with the film that started it all and the Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope FTS Drinking Game! May the force be with you… and seriously, let the wookie win.

Four weeks from today will be May the Fourth; Star Wars Day. This means once you finish Revenge of the Sith, you’ll be halfway to Star Wars Day! But don’t bust out your replica lightsbaer for a battle with your friends and/or really cool girlfriend in celebration just yet! We have four more films to watch, and they only get better from here. Revenge of the Sith sees the power of the Sith grow stronger, revealing their dark lord as they force the Jedi into hiding. We also see the beginnings of the next trilogy fall into place with the birth of heroes and the reemergence of our villains. Celebrate the end of the “Prequels Trilogy” by calling some friends, grabbing some beers and playing the Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith FTS Drinking Game! May the force be with you… like… 97% of the time.

Five weeks from today will be May the Fourth; Star Wars Day. We’ve already drank enough to forget about Jar-Jar Binks and the introduction of “Midi-chlorians”, so let’s take it one step further and drink to Star Wars Episode Two: Attack of the Clones. This film sees a romance emerge as we begin to discover the true nature of the Sith. We even see a LOT and I mean A LOT of foreshadowing not just for this film, but for the rest of the saga; can you spot it all? Even if you can’t, be prepared to get good and drunk as you play the Star Wars Episode Two: Attack of the Clones FTS Drinking Game! May the force be with you… as well as a hangover remedy.

Six weeks from today will be May the Fourth; Star Wars Day. As of now, there are six films in the Star Wars saga. Coincidence? I think not. Therefore, starting today, and every Saturday leading up to Star Wars Day, FTS will be releasing a Star Wars Drinking Game! Today we begin with The Phantom Menace. I know this film isn’t a favorite amongst fans, but after a few beers, the movie is quite enjoyable. So sit back, relax, pop in your VHS/DVD/BluRay copy of Episode I, and may the force be with you.
