Nate’s Two Cents?
This movie never made it to any local theatres so at the time of it’s release I was never able to catch it. I just happened to stumble across it on Amazon which was surprising since its physical release is still about a month away. I actually really enjoyed this film and found it to be very dark and creepy. Usually movies involving the idea of satanic cults tend to strike a chord a bit more than other horror out there. I won’t spoil anything, but if you like this kind of horror then for sure check this out if you have a Prime account. Hawke and Watson are both great in the movie. So give it a watch and hopefully you won’t have to sleep with the lights on after.

The Forest

Who’s in it?
Natalie Dormer, Taylor Kinney, Yukiyoshi Ozawa, Eoin Macken

What’s it about?
“Against the backdrop of Japan’s Aokigahara forest, where people go to end their lives, an American woman braves the mysterious, uncharted terrain to search for her missing sister.” – Rotten Tomatoes

Nate’s Two Cents?
I saw this in theatres hoping it would be good but was sadly disappointed. It wasn’t really much more than a bunch of cheap jump scares. Basically Natalie Dormer’s character goes missing in the Aokigahara forest, so her twin sister “goth” Natalie Dormer goes searching for her. She sees lots of ghosts while in the woods and i’m sure there was a bit more to it but I honestly can’t remember much about it because I hated it. The icing on the cake is the ending which is sooo bad. Anyway, I don’t recommend this feature but to each his own.
