But Watney has survived and finds himself stranded and alone on the hostile planet. With only meager supplies, he must draw upon his ingenuity, wit and spirit to subsist and find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive. Nate’s Two Cents?
The Martian is an amazing film. The imagery is absolutely gorgeous and seeing it on the big screen was a real treat. Ridley Scott’s latest sci-fi epic was one of my most memorable theatre experiences this past year and was an amazing watch in 3D as it really brought you into the out of this world sets and worlds. If you haven’t yet checked this out make sure to pick up a copy this week!!

What’s it about?
“The sequel to the 2012 sleeper hit horror movie. In the aftermath of the shocking events in “Sinister,” a protective mother (Shannyn Sossamon of “Wayward Pines”) and her 9-year-old twin sons (real-life twins Robert and Dartanian Sloan) find themselves in a rural house marked for death.” – Focus

Nate’s Two Cents?
I had a feeling that this follow up wasn’t going to be as good and I was proven right earlier this past year. The film just left me feeling very bored and there was way too much Bughuul in the film. There were a decent amount of jump scares but that’s really the best part about the movie. I’m sure I will rewatch the movie again for sure, but not quite sure about a purchase. Anyways give it a try if you will and see If you fair any better in liking it.

Nate’s Two Cents?
I first heard about this documentary on The Movie Crypt podcast as they always talked about how amazing it was and how it was a must-see. The doc follows the making of the film Broken Kingdom directed by Daniel Gillies. Why haven’t you heard of this film you might ask yourself? As you watch the doc you will soon realize what the filmmakers went through in chasing their dream of filming Broken Kingdom. This documentary is a necessary watch for any aspiring filmmaker or lover of film. You get a truly honest look into what goes into making an independent feature and all the things that can go wrong. At times the doc is inspiring, and at other times absolutely terrifying if you are even slightly interested in making a feature someday. Plenty of amazing interviews with people from the industry that have had just as much trouble getting films made. Please be sure to check this one out asap. Kingdom Come is only available on Amazon Prime and Broken Kingdom isn’t even available on physical copy or streaming. If you want to support these guys after you watch Kingdom Come then head to their site where you have the option of renting or purchasing both films directly from the filmmakers for a very small price. This may be the most important film I’ve recommended for our readers to watch and if even a handful decide to help these filmmakers out then that would be amazing.
