gravity5GB is finally back! Our last installment focused on director Wes Anderson but now we’re looking at one of 2013’s best films – Gravity. You can tell that the movie is already a modern classic thanks to the amount of attention that it’s gotten in its short life. Speaking of…

This is just…really sad. But it does add an interesting layer to Gravity by showing us who was on the other end of the radio when Dr. Stone was about to call it quits. Kinda makes the scene in Gravity all the more depressing, actually. Fun fact – Alfonso Cuaron’s son Jonas directed this short. Nepotism!

4. Everything Wrong with Gravity (via CinemaSins)
My like/hate relationship with these videos continues. I don’t really care for the guy’s voice, but this one’s co-narrated by Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson (he voiced his discontent with the science in Gravity prior to this video), so that’s pretty cool. Maybe if they have special guests more often I would be more of a fan. At least their “credits” are always fun.

The stalwart champion of 5GB – The Honest Trailer. This one does a good job of highlighting that the effects work that went into making Gravity was top notch, but that the script could have used a bit of a polish (“What happened to the, uh, hairy guy?”). Plus, Gravity really is one giant game of pinball if you think about it.

2. Arnold Schwarzenegger in Gravity (via JoBlo and Amoski)
You really can’t go wrong when you add a screaming Arnold Schwarzenegger. What would Gravity have been like had it been made in the late ‘80s starring everyone’s favorite Austrian Oak? The short but funny clip below gives us a good idea, but it probably would have included a lot of flexing and punching as well. “Get to da shuttle!!!”

1. Super Gravity via (JoBlo and Krishna Shenoi)
We know what would happen if Arnie had been in Gravity, but what would the movie have been like if Superman showed up (wow, Arnold Schwarzenegger v Superman: Dawn of Gravity would be an awesome movie)? The video also reinforces the fact that there’s no sound in space. I have a feeling Dr. Tyson would appreciate this video.
