  1. So apparently flapjacks are different things in different countries… I looked up silver dollar flapjacks, and I’m pretty sure those are pancakes. Over here flapjacks are biscuit/cakes made from butter, golden syrup and rolled oats, along with whatever else you want to put in them – we usually go with raisins, cherries, cinnamon etc. This makes the scene in Groundhog Day where Bill Murray asks if it’s “too early for flapjacks ” make more sense to me now.

    Also, please thank Nick for the applause, and his “I’m starting to think Kubrick doesn’t know how to read” was hilarious.

  2. Wow. This episode was thick with sexual tension. Or maybe that was just me? Did no one mention Disclosure? Between that, Fatal Attraction, and Basic Instinct, Michael Douglas owned the sexual thriller genre in the 80s/90s.

    Body Double is a little-known sexual thriller from the 80s. One of Melanie Griffith’s first roles I think.
