You gonna learn today, beanbag. You gon learn today.

This may be one of the shortest reviews I write. Realistically, I could just write one sentence and be done with it. But I didn’t do that because most people might not know what the film exactly is or what they’re getting into. Is it a documentary? Is it a docudrama? Is it a stand-up special? Yes. It’s a little bit of everything as the film begins with a party where everyone is accusing Kevin Hart of something. As a way of explaining himself, the film switches gears to a documentary, showing Kevin’s impressive success overseas. It’s not to boast or gloat, it’s to show proof to the naysayers that Kevin is a successful comedian and is a force to be reckoned with. The film transitions into it’s final part, the stand-up performance. In front of one of two sold out crowds at Madison Square Garden, Kevin Hart joined a small circle of comedians who have performed at the Garden and he doesn’t disappoint. He tackles all aspects of his life (failed marriage, kids, dating, Deerbras, lying, and best friends) while performing on a massive stage and unleashing fireball explosions. I’m not kidding.Fireball explosions. Now look, if you’re a fan of his stand-up, you’ll laugh until there are tears in your eyes. If you’ve never heard of him, well, “you gonna learn today.” The movie is very very funny and I can’t recommend it enough. Go see it and laugh your cares away.
