Here at FTS, we like to keep an eye on the up-and-coming actors and actresses that have impressed us recently. There are quite a few that we are looking forward to seeing how their careers unfold and develop. With a lot of talented young stars out there, it’s nice to celebrate those that give us hope for the future of Hollywood. We thought we would let you in on some of our favorites with our new five part series: 25 Talents Under 25. For Part 2 we take a look at talents #20 – 16.

JUNO TEMPLE, 23
The Wild Child

Why We Like Her: This fierce English newcomer is powering through the cinema on overdrive. She isn’t exactly a household name yet but ever since her praise for roles in Notes on a Scandal and Atonement, Juno has been racking up quite a number of films on her resume, five are from 2012 alone! Her simply sweet voice coupled with her edgy persona make her a hot commodity and go-to alternative actress. Hopefully Temple won’t loose steam, but if her spot on performance in Killer Joe is any indication of the rest of her career, I’m sure she’ll be around for a long time to come.

Next Project?: Temple’s IMDB page currently lists 8 upcoming projects she is attached to including Lovelace, Magic Magic and Maleficent.

More Temple:

ASA BUTTERFIELD, 15
The Fascinating One

Why We Like Him: The intrigue of the name Asa Butterfield is perfectly fitting for this young actor. He is a handsome young gent but isn’t your typical child star, turning in delightfully varied performances in films like The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, Nanny McPhee Returns, and Hugo. You’ll find in a lot of interviews that Asa enjoys the craft of acting but doesn’t let it run his whole life. He keeps himself involved in other interests and that mentality will surely help him to stay sane in the Hollywood scene.

Next Project?: Asa plays the title character in the much anticipated sci fi film Ender’s Game (2013)

More Butterfield:

EVAN RACHEL WOOD, 24
The Siren

Why We Like Her: Since she became well known starring in Thirteen, Wood has been one of the most aloof actresses out there carefully selecting roles that mostly flew under the radar. In the past few years she has come back with some fantastic premium cable turns as Queen Sophie-Anne on True Blood and Emmy/Golden Globe nominated Vera in Mildred Pierce. Besides that, she acted alongside the ensemble cast of The Ides of March last year. This recent jump back into the mainstream has us excited to see where her career takes her.

Next Project?: A Case of You (2013) is a romantic comedy penned by and co-starring Justin Long.

More Wood:

DAKOTA FANNING, 18
The Veteran

Why We Like Her: It’s actually a little hard to believe Dakota is only 18 years old. She’s been knocking roles out of the park since she was 7, giving memorable performances in movies like I Am Sam and War of the Worlds. The girl was born for the screen and continues to display her talent in film after film. Now that she’s growing into a lovely young woman, I’m eagerly anticipating her next career move.

Next Project?: Fanning takes top billing alongside Emile Hirsch and Stephen Dorff in the drama The Motel Life.

More Dakota:

JOSH HUTCHERSON, 19
The New Crush

Why We Like Him: It’s incredibly refreshing to find a young star who is so completely humble, good natured, and grateful for what they have accomplished with the opportunities given to them. In any interview you see Josh he just seems so damn sincere. After starring in slew of kid’s flicks, he caught my eye with his quiet but strong performance in The Kids Are All Right and impressed this year, starring as Peeta in The Hunger Games.

Next Project?: Hutcherson will star in the remake of Red Dawn with Chris Hemsworth and Josh Peck.

More Hutcherson:

  1. No way Fanning is just 18 years old. Isn’t still supposed to be like 11 or something? But her young age just makes me super excited for the career in front of her. And Asa Butterfield…probably an Andrew Garfield in the making?
