Did the Stephen King story It completely ruin birthday clowns for you as a child? Well the famous TV mini series from 1990 is getting the remake tratement.
Read about Cary Fukanaga plans to adapt the story.

When it was announced that the best-selling book from author Max Brooks World War Z was being adapted for the big screen with Brad Pitt in a leading role, zombie fans everywhere (including myself) salivated. But soon news of release date changes, re shoots and other production problems began spreading faster than a rage virus outbreak. So what exactly wrong?
Read about what happened to the film production of World War Z.

Have you ever wanted to see funny people Ken Marino and Judy Greer in a thriller about demons? Well now you can because the two are set to star in the new film titled Milo directed by Jacob Vaughan. The cast has piqued my interest but the plot has put me firmly on board.
Read about the plans for the new film Milo.

V/H/S Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, David Bruckner, Tyler Gillett, Justin Martinez, Glenn McQuaid, Joe Swanberg, Chad Villella, Ti West, and Adam Wingard.

This film has been on my radar for quite some time, mainly because there are a shit ton of directors involved in making it a horror anthology. The red band trailer does a good job putting on a display of scary images without giving away too much of the plot. I counted some gore, ghosts and plenty of screams so this movie might have something for everyone. V/H/S is set to release on VOD August 31st. You can watch the red band trailer below:

The Helpers Directed by: Chris Stokes. Starring: Kristen Quintrall, Denyce Lawton and Christopher Jones.

Well there’s not much going on here beside a boatload of horror trailer cliches. ‘True Story,’ creepy camera click, 911 calls, and so on. The plot seems to be about a group of sadistic psychos that kidnap and torture a bunch of 20 somethings.  I’ll probably see it.

The Pact Directed by: Nicholas McCarthy. Starring: Caity Lotz, Casper Van Dien and Agnes Bruckner.

I won’t bother with the synopsis on this one because is seems very different from what I see in the trailer. I think and hope the trailer is taking a less is more approach to the details of the scares. While I’ll admit what I watched wasn’t exactly revelatory, it does seem to contain some decent acting, interesting set design and promise of a good jump.

The Possession Directed by :Ole Bornedal. Starring: Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Kyra Sedgwick, Madison Davenport, Natasha Calis, Grant Show, and Matisyahu.

Now here’s a movie I can get behind! Aside from the fact that Sam Raimi is presenting it, the trailer gives me so much more than the title suggests. I wish they would get rid of that silly ‘Based on a true story’ nonsense but it is based on the folklore of an old Jewish legend. Otherwise it looks like there are some solid scares and twists looming in this one and I only wish it would make it’s way to theaters faster! See the trailer below:

The Impostor Directed by: Bart Layton. Starring: Adam O’Brian, Anna Ruben and Cathy Dresbach.

This movie isn’t based on a true story, it actually is one. None of that fake stuff, this was a real case and a fascinating one at that. Not so much conventional horror, The Impostor is a documentary that works the fear angle from a much more real and curious perspective. It uses the real events to put together what happened in the case of a missing boy that turned up years later in a foreign country. The trailer is a must see so make sure to check it out below.
