Wrath of the Titans (2012) Directed by Jonathan Liebesman. Starring: Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson and Rosamund PikeIMDB says: “Perseus braves the treacherous underworld to rescue his father, Zeus, captured by his son, Ares, and brother Hades who unleash the ancient Titans upon the world.

The best I can say for Wrath of the Titans is that it’s miles better than it’s predecessor, Clash of the Titans. Problem is, that’s not saying much. Clash was a borefest with terrible post 3D conversion, causing me to battle slumber in the theaters. But even though Wrath improves upon the effects and battle scenes, it never rises above a dull roar on the excitement scale.

The plot this time around focuses on the journey of Demi-God Perseus as he travels to rescue his father Zeus, who is being held against his will by Hades himself. Bad stuff. The plot is inconsequential though, just serving the film as a thinly as possibly, allowing for some 3D set pieces. The action and effects are the film’s biggest pluses, although I’m not entirely sure they were well done, or just better than I was expecting. Overall, Wrath never rises above B-movie territory and even there it’s not king. I suggest sitting this one out and opting to watch Games of Thrones at home.
