Now that the year has finally come to a close, film blogs everywhere are busy counting down the best and worst films of 2011. After seeing numerous top 10 lists scattered all over the web, I wondered how myself and the rest of us here at FTS could remember the year a little differently. What we came up with was combinding movies with one of the other things we loved so much in 2011: memes. Memes are somewhat difficult to describe but according to knowyourmeme.com the are defined as the following:
“An Internet memes is a piece of content or an idea that’s passed from person to person, changing and evolving along the way. A piece of content that is passed from person to person, but does not evolve or change during the transmission process is considered viral content.”
Memes are interent culture at it’s finest. Hilarious, clever and sometimes just weird, please enjoy our five part series as we count down over 50 memes and movies in…

  1. I'm clearly not up-to-date with my memes (which is probably a good thing), as I wasn't familiar with most of the ones in this series. Great stuff all around. Though I gotta ask, where's the Gosling "Hey Girl" one?

  2. @Dylan Memes offer me countless hours of entertainment, you are missing out. And I guess Hey Girl just slipped under our radar, that could have been good though.
