Fall season continues. See what’s in store for the theaters this… OCTOBER

The Social Network
I was fortunate enough to catch a screener for David Fincher’s new film and was really impressed. As always, Fincher comes through with a really polish and beautiful film. You can read our review here.
Let Me In
The remake of Let The Right One In, the trailer for Let Me In doesnt show anything not included in the original. The problem is in the trailer’s editing, where it makes it seem as though the movie will be much more action packed. I am interested to see how this is compared to LTROI but in no hurry to see it.

Life As We Know It

I honestly wish I never had to see Katherine Heigl in another movie ever again. I will also not that I am very ashamed I ever confused Josh Duhaml with Timothy Olyphant. There are leagues between those two guys.
My Soul To Take
I really get excited to see horror movies hitting the theaters. Wes Craven’s My Soul To Take is one of the first of the season. But checking out the trailer, I wonder if Wes is out of ideas. SO many Nightmare on Elm Street ideas in there. Btw…3D? BOOOOO (and not in the good scary way)! Nowhere Boy

You may recognize actor Aaron Johnson here, the star of Kick Ass. Here he plays a very different role (a young John Lennon), proving he can really produce range as an actor. I’m not tremendously interested in seeing this film but would not be opposed to it either.
Secretariat
This movie looks as boring as they come. I don’t care about any of it.
Stone

A promising trailer in my opinion. I really enjoy watching Edward Norton in anything for the most part and will be looking forward to this film.

Conviction

First off, I just want to mention how much I really hate these stupid ambiguous meaningless posters like the one for this movie. What is the point? On a more positive note, the movie look decent, well acted. Hilary Swank in another based on true events thing. Blah.

Jackass 3D
Jackass movies always look awful. And they are. But they ARE SUPPOSED TO BE! I really think these movies are 100% effective in making me laugh, wince and get totally grossed out. I wouldn’t care paying to 3D price to keep these dumb ass dudes around for another year.
Red
This trailer looks awful. The premise is silly in a bad way, and not even Helen Mirrien makes me want to check this out.

Hereafter
Another Clint Eastwood directed film, I really enjoy this trailer. The acting, directing and tone of this movie looks wonderful. Please watch this trailer and see what I mean.

Paranormal Activity 2
Trailer is a snoozefest but I will proabably see this because I suck (and will watch anything horror that pops in theaters) Check out the FTS trailer breakdown.

Night of the Demons

I will own up to not seeing the original of the supposedly campy classic. But judging by the crazy trailer for this remake, I almost can’t believe this was made. There appears to be a lot of gore and a lot of fun but I don’t know if people will actually go see this?
Saw 3D
I know most people are saying “Finally!” at the introduction of the last in the Saw franchise but I’m excited to see it. As I have mentioned numerous times on the podcast, I actually enjoy the mess. Also, Dr. Gordon is back! Supposedly. Any Saw fan will admit that this is a truly exciting note for this last film.
