Let’s take a look at the last month of the summer. Here’s your complete
Guide to Summer at the Cinema 2010: AUGUST.
August 6

Middle Men

This films stars Luke Wilson and chronicles the beginning of the Internet porn industry. This move might have an interesting premise but the trailer doesn’t make me want to run to the theaters.

The Other GuysI think The Other Guys looks great! The trailer made me laugh from beginning to end and i think the cast will really work well with each other. This comedy looks like it doesn’t take itself too seriously.
(COMINGSOON.NET INFO)Step Up 3D
This movie looks insanely ludicrous but will no doubt make money. We will be seeing Step Ups for years to come.

Twelve
Although barely talked about, this movie received startling news hype when pictures surfaced of 50 Cents transformation.

Eat, Pray, Love

This movie sounds unappealing to me but i don’t think I was exactly the age demographic it was targeted for.

The Expendables

With a cast to end all other action movies (Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Randy Couture, Steve Austin, Terry Crews, and Mickey Rourke) I am looking forward to this, hoping it will be a fun thrill ride.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
This is without a doubt one of my personally most anticipated movies this summer. I have such a hard on for the trailers and I think with Edgar Wright behind this, there is a slim chance I will be disappointed. Will this be better than Kick Ass?

Lottery Ticket

Doesn’t seem to stand out. Mild comedy that can wait for cable.

Nanny McPhee Returns
uuhh..what? Never watched the first one.

Piranha 3D
Entirely too excited for this. The terrible CGI fish and Alexander Aja? I’m always ready for splat pack nonsense. I intend on having a large round of Drunk Trivia before seeing this.

The Switch
I do like Aniston and Bateman, but only time will tell if this will be any better than “The Break-Up”

Going The Distance

I was first displeased to hear about this movie and Justin Long’s involvement. But after I checked out the trailer, I have to say that this movie looks really genuine and funny. I am in fact very much looking forward to seeing this now.

The Last Exorcism

Pretty excited. Eli Roth is producing and I love summer horror. Bring it on.

Takers
The cast is a mixed bag in this film which makes me feel that this movie will be nothing more than mediocre.
